Reasonable cost to install springs

i have some eibach springs that i want to get installed and i asked the shop ive gone to for all my exhaust work and they quoted me $1600 to install the springs. seems really high... whats a reasonable price for this job?

This is the practice of a shop who both does not specialize in, and does not want to do the job.

Typical costs should be between $3-500 sans alignment as it is a simple 2 hour job for those with experience.

the rear is so easy, between 15-30 mins each side, the front is little harder.

That's ridiculous. You need to cross the border to NY, assuming you're in southern west CT.

They're most likely quoting book time, which isn't accurate for this platform (book lists 8 hours). Real time is ~3 hours.

Shouldn't be more than 4 hours of work. Maybe less. My local bmw charges $150/hr labor so I'd say $600 tops.
