Where do you put takeout food?

In trunk or inside the car, I don't want to put inside because of food smell but yesterday spilled gravy in trunk for the take out food when the food fell because I had to go over a downhill , luckily I had trunk mat and was able to clean it and because of the trunk mat can't put the trunk net to hold food and groceries.

No food in the M4 dude - coffee is okay, but that's it.

If you have to eat, you get to stand outside the car and eat!

I never take food into my M.

Water only and even then I hardly allow other people to do it. No coffee or anything else. Water only.

OP is not talking about eating in the car - he is talking about where you carry take out food when you are going home. If he had been eating it, it sure would not have been in his trunk

Usually in my wife's SUV inside car. If in my car, I put it on front seat with something underneath it. Food smell should not linger long unless doing it all the time.

I put everything on the floor of the passenger side (except the drink, I put that in the cup holder) or if someone's there I put it on the floor by the rear seats. That's also where I put like...everything lol. Gym headphones,pre-workout, few bottles of water.
Oh, I actually just found a Popeyes barbecue sauce that had exploded open from the pressure of the seat. It was there for over a month at least. I'd seen it on a few water bottles but I thought it was just some type of lubricant or something

A daily driver is rather useless if you can't take home food in it. Never had a problem in mine. Don't eat in it, but do take food home.

I put mines in the trunk whenever I can. For drive-thru meals, I usually put it on the passenger side floor in a reusable bag and close it as tightly as I can.

I dont do it often. The other day i had 4 burgers and onion rings in baskets on a tray . I put them on passenger seat. At one point i had to brake hard and luckily i was able to catch the tray before it ended on the floor And it wasn't for to-go , it was for dine in , 50% off

funny how people have no eating policy in their car. Its just a car, lighten up

I eat all the time in my car. I also have replaced the seats with racing setas and have gutted the whole interior and put in a cage so i guess im not the typical M owner

What he said!

On the front seat if taking home, on my lap if eating on the go, windows down for a bit after and no lingering smell

Usually front seat floor well. However, if its packaged carefully I sometimes put it in the front passenger seat and buckle it in. Funny buckling in a bag of food but it keeps it still and prevents it from flying all around!

For those that say they eat in their cars all the time - what is the circumstance surrounding that? Do you eat a lot of fast food on the go? I never eat in my car, no reason to.
