KW Clubsport Front compression adjuster knob

Anyone else having this issue with the front damper compression adjuster knob being hard to turn smoothly due to road debris or small gritty stuff being stuck into the crevices?

If i manage to get it sorted, a condom with some ziptie should keep that area clean
