The Firestone Gran Prix of St. Petersburg is March 10-12, 2017

Heading out to watch the races in St Pete. It's been several years since moving away from Florida. Glad to be back and able to attend all the great race events that take place in down south.

Is anyone going to the Gran Prix? Would be rad to set up a local BMW Car Show/Take-Over during the races. We could designate an area outside the event park, kick it, meet new people or watch the races. Should make for a great time.

Anyone down? Thoughts? Feel free to chime in.

I will be in town for work that weekend. Not in my car but I could possibly check it out on Sunday. Did you already buy tix?

Haven't bought tix yet. I'm still in Portland, Oregon actually. I'll scheduled to fly to Tampa Bay on Feb 28th. I'll pick them up before flying down to avoid the lines during the event.

It's an epic road course through downtown St. Pete and the marina. You should check it out if you have the chance.

i live downtown st pete and usually would be down to join BUT can't this time because i'll be in SC taking delivery of my new M3!!

Nice! That's a great reason not to make it to the Gran Prix.

last year i was at the saturday morning market downtown with my then 2.5 year old. it was about 3-4 weeks before the race. anyway, one of the organizers was there and they had the #16 car on the trailer. they opened the trailer up and let my son play on the car and then they gave me two day passes. just because we happened to be standing on the "track" and i was explaining the race circuit to my kid. totally awesome.
