F80 M3 Winter Reccomendations

Hello everyone, long term lurker first time posting.

I have a set of winter wheels from my old E90 M3 wondering if it will fit my current F80? Just curious, if it dosen't fit what would you recommend?

Blizzak - LM32
235/40R18 x 8.5 all around

Recommended is always 18" square set up.

Honestly brands Michelin, Bridgestone and Pirelli are all more or less at par. Nokian Hakka tends to be true winter brand but would deteriorate quicker when it's not snowing. So really just whatever good deal you can find, go for it.

For reference I run 19" on Vorsteiner VFF103 and staggered. In heavy snow, I'm the jerk who cannot go up the hill. In all other cases I love the look lol.

What offset are your e90 wheels?

As far as tire size goes 235 is narrow, you want at least a 255 contact patch.

First off, almost sure 18" will not fit clear your F80 brakes.

Yes 18" will fit depending on the style. For example the style 640M is a 18" wheel and very popular for winter.

Again it comes down to the design of the wheel. Not at 18" wheels will fit.

I'll second the comment that 235 seems pretty narrow...the winter set the dealer offered me was 255 square, so you might be able to use the 18" wheel but need new rubber.

If you live in area where you see pile of snow around winter season like AB/NB/NS, Nokian Hakka will be great with smaller size like 245/40/18 square setup.

If you live in area where snow will be removed constantly and quick like in GTA, but in cold climate, Michelin PA4 will be great choice with wider tires. Square or staggered should not be big matter but keep at least wider as 255 at the rear.

Running Nokian Hakka with square 19's in Montreal.

Hills are challenging but so is marriage. I get through the season pretty unscathed (for both).

Agreed. I've only had a challenge when a car stops on a hill in front of me.

So I should wait for the hill to clear and use a LC start to get going?

I'm on PA4, 255/275

I have 18" Pirelli Sottozero and they work awesome in the snow. No issues at all. I have 255's up front and 285's in the rear.
