Can someone confirm what length would be needed for stock ZCP exhaust? I see 105, 110, 115, and some seller sells 120. :

I believe it's 115.

Edit - I ordered 105.

Seems like most of the pictures on this thread are of the 105 length. Does anyone have a pic with 115?

Also, how far does the 105 stick out vs the oem Zcp tips? Can you fix them so they stick out a bit?

I had an M performance exhaust on my 340 with the stainless steel tips that I mounted such that they stick out about an inch further than they were supposed to. One big advantage of doing this was that it was far out enough so that all the black soot from they exhaust didn't stick onto the rear bumper and trunk. I totally forgot about this until now when my new M3 is leaving all these hard black particles all over the rear of the car after a freeway drive 😟.

Anyone notice any improvement on this front?

Finally got mine on and I painted the muffler satin black also. What a difference the tips and paint make. Now my carbon diffuser doesn't seem that large. lol

I've seen 120 for sale. Question is if it can just be installed more pushed in or more out?

Hello everyone. Just got an new M3, my all-time favorite car. Putting on some OEM carbon fiber tips. Any recommendations on the best ways to keep them clean? Do you have to do anything special? Normally I just wipe tips with a wet rag after a wash and that's enough.

The two-piece construction concerns me a bit as it seems like keeping the exposed brushed-aluminum lip clean might take some creativity. All thoughts appreciated-thank you!

I'm gonna adjust them out a bit further. Pics are deceiving. Tips are basically flush with the diffuser.

I used wheel cleaner with a wheel brush. I sprayed a tiny bit in the tip avoiding the carbon. Or you could use painter's tape.

Has anyone tried installing this on a M3 CS? Will these fit the CS exhaust and what size would be best?

Just purchased a set from the same supplier that most ppl were buying from. Also installed OEM Carbon Fiber license plate frame at the same time. Love the license plate frame but I am still on the fence weather I will keep the CF exhaust tips. I will decide weather I keep them on or go with something else after I get my diffuser installed and cf spolier. Let me know what you guys think. I believe they are 105mm in length.

That looks pretty good. Are you able to adjust the tips further outwards if you wanted to or is there little slack to play with?

So unfortunately the clamps they provide is extremely weak and broke only after 2 days of being installed. Literally 10miles worth of driving and the clamp broke. I even spray painted it matte black. So disappointed. I'm in contact with the seller now to see if I can get this rectified. Moar pics attached ...

Anyone else experience this? Where did you get replacement clamps at?

Could you tell which seller you got your tips/clamps from? I want to avoid reinstalling clamps so I may end up getting replacement clamps if i get tips from the same vendor.

I painted the clamps too and one of my clamps broke as well. I notice the screws/bolts will come loose over time and I check ever few months to tighten them. I now believe they become loose over time from the vibration, heat and contraction of the exhaust pipe. I read somewhere else the OEM M Carbon Fiber Tips can become loose for some people. One time, I over tighten the screw/bolt and the clamp broke. When I posted before regarding the screws/bolts becoming loose, someone had mention Loctite, but it could be a issue if you ever need to remove or re tighten them.

Searched and purchase these:

https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/it...clickid=search

So far so good, I now make sure not to over tighten the screws/bolts.

Sent you a PM!

For anyone looking to buy a set of these CF tips, I'm selling mine for the same price I bought them for plus an extra few clamps just incase they break on you at anytime. They literally have less than 50miles on them and are practically brand spanking new!

Slide into my DM if you're interested!

Ordered from the Alibaba vendor on Friday. Arrived today (Monday). Tried the pulley method - wasn't as easy as spraying with WD40, waiting 10 minutes and using the wood/mallet method. Off in 5 minutes. Install took another 15 to align and tighten sufficiently. Best $260 mod for the money - excellent quality and fitment.

Got the CF tips from Kemir Carbon fiber on Alibaba; they charged $261 shipped and took 5 days to arrive. Painted the clamps with hi temp black paint and then removed the old tips using a rubber mallet and hockey puck I used a floor jack pad. The old tips came off easily without the need for WD40. Just wedged the puck against the tip and hammered a bit to break them loose. Will keep an eye on the clamps loosening over time.
