License plate cover?

Does anyone use a license plate clover? I'm debating putting one on to add a tint , but most of them have an ugly thick trim.

No. It seems like it could be a good excuse for a LEO to pull you over if they are so inclined.

And in some states, it's illegal, so there's another good excuse to get pulled over.

Yeah it helps hide my radar I made a clear one with about 1mm of thickness for my powered by M frame.

I used them on my DD when I had white plates. Car was all blacked out, so white plate stuck out like sore thumb. Got pulled over once or twice. Not worth it. Until I got my black plates and threw the tint covers in the garage.

I have a TagArmur CF license plate frame that was a gift. Super nice, bit expensive, but it does have flat plastic that would be easy to tint...

Sorry for the delay...back of car a bit dusty...sorry for the filth!
Also now that I look at this notice that I need to flip the thing 180 degrees as the direction of the CF is opposite to my spoiler and diffuser...

Not sure I'd go out of my way to get one myself, bit of a tight fit to put the frame on the plate with the backup camera as well, but it works....there is a flat lexan/polycarbonate screen over the plate - very scratch resistant...and would be easy to tint if one chose to do so...

Thanks! Looks good. The only thing that I don't like is the poly cover. They always say scratch resistant, but never is. Either I'd have to remove it from the frame or have XPEL put on it front and back. Is the clear plastic removable?

It is glued on, but you can probably get that part off. This particular frame is 4 years old and has been on a car the entire time, there are a few fine scratches on it but nothing big. If on the front of the car that would be another story.

Same material as headlights - you could polish out the fine scratches as well. I'm with you, I'd prefer no cover, but the price of the thing was right for me!
