What did you “need” it for?

I just picked up my F80 and my horn sounds like it has laryngitis. My F82 was much louder than this. Is this normal? I really have to press on it to get a sound out of it.

Low horn failure

My low tone horn failed today after a car wash at the dealer. I took it off and the connector was soaked in water as well as the horn. I dried it with a hair dryer and it still didn't work. Car only has 6,800 miles. I know I am still under warranty but I ordered a new one online. $70 with shipping. I don't feel like wasting a day at the dealer when I can replace it in 10 minutes.

Do we know what connectors the horn uses?
Is there an aftermarket solution?
What about those Subaru horns ?

Horn started working

The horn started working on it's own yesterday. I haven't got the new one in the mail yet. I could cancel the order but I am not going to because if it fails again I will have a spare.

I feel the same way - prior car i could just tap and it made a sound. current car needs lots of pressure and it sounds really weak comparatively.
