Reputable shop for SSR crank up fix?
Hey all, my car is fine, no issues at all and only 8500 miles on the clock but I lean towards preventative maintenance.
Is there a shop in New England that had a master tech and experience with the SSR crank hub fix? I'm in NH but willing to drive a few hours if needed. If there isn't anyone local I may consider going to down the Keis Motorsports if I had to drive that far. Thanks for any input. |

I would call some shops and ask if they have done one.
https://www.autoengineering.com/?utm...-local-listing http://www.eurotechmotorsports.us Why do it before your warranty expires? EDIT. From this post 6 months ago it looks like Eurotech has done a few. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1672284

I plan on keeping the car for the foreseeable future. Even as I expand my auto purchases I think this will stay in my stable.
There seems to be a large number of failure cropping up and I do intend to do some tuning and mods I. The future so why not build out and prevent injury in the future? |

Good luck. I suppose you may as well do it if you’re going to add power. I may do one in a few years once I see more data. I’m hoping the newer cars have the GTS parts to make the factory design more robust. I’ll have warranty for a while as well so if it does happen I’ll be covered.

I'm headed to Eurotech next week to get a new clutch and crank hub. Got a code for Intake cam timing but car runs normal. Hoping for the best. Farley and those guys come highly recommended. Going with the Insane Hub.
What part of NH? I'm in Amherst. |

How did it go? I'm in Merrimack, considering getting it done too.

Hoping to get it back tomorrow. No engine damage. I had a new clutch put in as well so it took about 4 days total.
Merrimack is my hometown and my parents still live there. |

After a lot of debate and discussion I made an early spring appointment to take my M3 down to Kies Motorsports. He's got a proven reputation in the industry and excellent contacts for my future plans.
I've never had ANY kind of hiccup from my car. The only mod done to it is eibach springs and AA mid pipe. I want the peace of mind knowing I'll have the preventative measures done for my future mods. |

Not to dig up an old thread, but I just found out today that Turner Motorsports does the SSR Crank Hub in Amesbury, MA which is only 1 hr away for you. They'll be doing preventative work on my car as well. PM me if you want to know more about them as I have prices already.
It's hard to find someone as reputable as Turner Motorsports. |

Highly recommended Eurotech Motorsports in Framingham, Ma
The owner is a great guy, installed my Max psi crank hub, charge pipes, j pipe, cfs heat exchanger, downpipes all at once.
