just for yuks - i went over to some other forums (non-m3/4 related) to see what those car owners are saying what their next car would be after whatever it was they were driving (a lot of the cars mentioned here, actually). and many many many of them said the m3/4 would be their choice. it is interesting to me that some here (on this forum) would stick with another m3/4 whilst others would try out another flavour of bmw (like me - with the m6 gc) or go to a completely different brand altogether. and then to look at it in reverse - by doing what i did by looking at other forums and seeing their participants' responses are centred somewhat on the current m3/4. i wonder if it is boredom with their current ride, the grass is always greener or lack of education (for the record - i'm still in love with my m4 and not giving it up any time soon!)

The last payment was made on the F80 and my wife loves the F80 so it is a keeper. Her daily driver is a 2012 VW GTI Autobahn with the APR stage 1. I enjoy driving the GTI and I am looking at getting a Golf R to replace the GTI. I really thought we would be looking at a Porsche GT3 but I just could not part with the funds for the selling price. It would more then likely be an art piece in my garage. The GT3 is my holy grail but it is best suited for driving duties on the track which I will not be doing.

I'll likely get the 2018 m3, probably last manual M3. In the mean time I'm looking for a clean E46 and I'd like to grab a E90 m3 at some point, maybe I'll try the dct on that. I'd like to have some sort of exotic by 40. But really who knows, once the kids come, the entire game may change.

On the other hand, this F8x generation will suit me just fine. I mean, who doesn't see the M3/4 as the standard bearer. Technicians @ Cadillac V? Sure, maybe in a decade someone will take the crown - a big maybe.....assuming M stands pat and does not improve anything. But not now, despite any recent criticisms. And I don't even own one yet! |

Not replacing the F80, but I'm really excited about the F87, and will probably do another ED to get one in my garage.

Not sure I want to get rid of the f80, but I say that about every car I've owned. My next car will definitely be a Porsche. Nothing crazy, not looking to break the bank but a Cayman gts is what I've been eyeing

She gets to pick the next one. So, who knows. 3 years till the M4 is paid off... She has plenty of time to look. Since we have no kids... It won't be a mom-mobile. So, I got that going for me. |

My M4 lease is up soon... Lots of great cars due out in next two years, so I might do a short Swaplease on a e63 wagon or a RS7. Might keep m4. I need to have room enough to throw my bike in the back and awd would be nice, any thoughts?
If I didn't need room for bike I'd look at awd ftype r. If I didn't need 4 seats or awd I'd look at Amg gt s for sure. If money was no object an ff would fo the trick!! |

I'm with you for sure. Never really been a fan of the Porsche because of those round headlights but lately I've become a huge fan. My dad is looking at a Macan and at the same time I took a good look at the other Porsche's and damn are they nice.
