F80 M3 w/ Pure Turbos - Full E85 Custom Bootmod3 Dyno Results - 623whp/612wtq

I had a great time testing several configurations yesterday. Hats off to proTUNING Freaks for creating such an incredible tuning platform. I was able to very quickly flash the car using my iPhone connected to the BM3 agent device and use my MacBook to adjust the tunes as needed. I was able to go through many configurations in a very short time thanks to the efficiency of the Bootmod3 tuning platform.

Now for the results. This is a very conservative reading Dynojet so I have included Stock ZCP baselines in every graph below for delta reference.

Car Details: 2016 F80 M3 ZCP w/ 21k miles

Current mods: Pure Stage 2 Turbos, RK Tunes Intake, BMS CP's, MPI Catless DP's, Torqbyte Meth Controller w/ custom lines and BMS Stealth tank.

I used this same Dyno in February while I still had stock turbos so the first graph below is a comparison of the Stock ZCP tune on Stock turbos vs Pure
Turbos. As you can see, at low stock boost pressures the Pure's aren't really even in their efficiency range yet but still gained 20hp up top where it's expected and didn't lose anything down low.

Now for my test sequence.

I started with < 1 gallon of our crappy NW Florida 93octane pump gas.

1. Graph #1 is Stock ZCP map - Stock Turbos vs Pure turbos on 93pump.
2. Graph #2 is Stock ZCP map on Pure Turbos vs My tune on 93pump with Pure Turbos.
(I was happy that my 93 tune follows the same power curve as stock but just much higher output, this is how it feels on the road as well)

After this we filled with full E85.

3. Graph #3 is Stock ZCP vs Full E85 on stock fuel system only. Pure Turbos 26psi with taper.

Now I turned on my Torqbyte Methanol controller and turned up boost to 28psi with less taper to redline.

4. Graph #4 is Full E85 vs Full E85 + Methanol

5. Finally Graph #5 shows where I started in February with Stock ZCP on Stock turbos vs Today's Pure Turbos full E85 + Meth custom BM3 tune.

Next time I plan to focus more time revising and smoothing the full E85 and E85 + meth maps, there is absolutely much more headroom to push the map with Methanol, I haven't even engaged stage 2 on my meth setup yet!

No sir, that is Pure Stage 2 results on 93 pump (which is crap here in NW Florida btw)

The only stock turbo results I posted here are in the first graph where I compare my stock turbo stock zcp map results from February to yesterdays results on Pure with same stock map on same dyno, and the last graph where I compare stock turbo baseline to my best results yesterday on E85 with Pure's. All other graphs are Pure Turbo results.

Well done! What boost pressure are the PS2 turbos holding up top?

I was asked concerning my 93 pump tune, "Can't the same gains be had with BM3, FBO, and stock turbos?". Weeell, sort of. But not on 93 pump only.

Here is a comparison of the best run at this Dynojet back in Feb with Stock turbos, 93+meth maxed out at 26.5psi vs yesterday's 93 pump only tune on Pure Turbos at 23psi.

Add any amount of meth to the Pure Turbos side of this comparison and it would be no contest. The point is, Pure Turbos do offer an advantage over stockers, even on just pump gas. Stock turbos tuned out on 93 pump only run around 500hp max on this particular dyno.

On the straight E85 tune I held onto about 26 in the middle down to around 21psi at redline.

With E85+meth it was like 28psi still at 6k, then a little taper after that.

Was the boost maxed out up top on the E85+meth?

How did you wire in your meth controller?

This is great Power Paul, it's no wonder that car posts such fast Vbox numbers because it is fast..
I am sure we going to see 700hp easy with the boost turned up to what you had it before. would love to see what you do at 34psi with Eth and Meth.
DAMN!!

There is zero taper in top end power with the Pure's
they honestly supper efficient at the top..
Stock turbo's start to fall on their face after 6.5k and the pure just keep pulling like a freight train.

Not maxed out up top by any means on meth. This result on E85+meth is very conservative. The straight E85 tune is pushed to the edges of the fuel system limits, but with meth the more volume I spray the more fueling headroom there is. I have yet to explore the limits on my car with E85+meth like I have with 93+meth and race gas+meth.

I use the Torqbyte controller, if you look them up online you can see the many different setups that are possible. I have 2 nozzles post-IC and 2 pre-IC. Setup in 2 stages and I have boost/rpm based pump duty maps setup.
