BM3 Stage 2 currently, Switch to BEF with JB4?
As the title shows, when I purchased my 15 M3 the previous owner had a JB4 installed. I was running Map2 with an E50 mix for a while and then switched to BM3 to run their Stage 2 map 93.
The car feels great, I am just curious if I am missing out by not taking advantage of the fact that I have the JB4 still installed. Would I benefit more from running the E85 BEF through my BM3 so I can run a E50 mix, or is there really no benefit/difference noticeable between the two? Very new to JB4's/BMW, Honda guy here so sorry for the noob questions! |

JB4 + BEF on E85 would make some really good power. There are options for custom tunes from a BM3 tuner. But with what you already have, the JB4 flashed with a BEF via BM3 would be an alternative. Go full E85 though.

Car is on the stock Crank Hub so I also dont want to push it THAT much more. I guess I just like the idea of running the E50 haha |

With BM3's news of a release for map switching I began to think on the following set up:
Map1 Stage 2 BM3 93 Map Map2 Stock CS map with JB4 on MAP2 and E50 mix Map3 Full stock map Would be interested to run back to back the car on the JB4 Map2 E50 mix vs 93 Stage 2 BM3 That would really settle the debate for me |
