Ohlins R&T - Difference between BMS MP40 vs MR40?

I remember reading on the forums that earlier models of the R&T coilovers had issues with valving or the length of the shocks (or perhaps it was the spring rates or combination of all of them)? Anyone care to chime in?

Rear shock length change, spring rates, ect.

The newest part number is BMU MR41 for all F8x M2 M3 M4.
