1. The two connecting pipes that meet the single 3.5" pipe are ball and socket flanges, just like the original AA pipe. The MPE piping is a slip fit design, to slip over the OEM pipe once it's cut and then clamped on. 2. The lengths are totally wrong, if you look at the green lines that you drew which is where you would cut to fit the MPE, it's in a completely different area of the VRSF pipe if you lined them up next to each other. The only way to bolt this VRSF pipe, as well as the AA pipe, is to cut the MPE piping and clamp the VRSF/AA connecting pipes to it just as you would an OEM muffler. |

I think I may pull the trigger on the VRSF unit soon and try using that method and see how it looks once mounted. If it becomes an issue I'll order the AA mount. |

Maybe they included it for the M2C version because it absolutely requires it for clearance. |

VRSF mention the MPE twice on their website.
https://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-high-f...0-f82-s55.html "Please note that this item will fit the MPE/Competition Package with no modification. " "Compatible with both the OEM muffler as well as the MPE included in Competition Pack models." Someone should contact them and to be sure.

I just place my order on Friday (7/19). Contacted their support team and it looks like these are supposed to arrive on their next shipment at the end of the week.

Although it is a copy of the AA design, it would be interesting to see the results in a dyno.

Is the only difference between this and the dual 2.5" version the sound produced? The single removes the secondary cats and resonators, while the dual version keeps the factory resonators, correct?

Has anyone installed the new single mid pipe yet with the MPE. Still waiting to see if modifications are actually needed to the MPE regardless of all the speculation. I received a message from one of their vendors that no modification is needed as well.
Update the thread if possible please |
