You won’t brake EGS while flashing if BTLD and HWEL during calculation will be the same.

Can upload somewhere and send you the link if still needed. But if you have some recent (2020) psdz full data with your esys - you will have it there.

My car is EURO spec (non CP). Runs fine on the CS DCT flash provided by MHD. Not yet tried the esys one which replaces both SWFL files. I have not enough time to ride the car these days - so need time to get used to one and then to compare to other map.

there is no coding file for DCT and there are no variations in these SWFL files - if they are SWFL_00001F6E_000_056_000 and SWFL_00002290_000_056_000
then you have the same "software/setup" as I have.
Would you mind sending me your FA file? Delete VIN from it - I just want to see the options that you have there and I would like to replicate into a modified test FA for esys test. thanks

Ok, thank to @Steveo for providing with his FA. I then tried it on my car to find out which SWFL will come out of after SVT calculation. I turnde out that only change of build

type key 3S71; timeCriteria 1117; adding option 7ME results in:
BTLD_00001F6C_001_001_009
HWEL_00001F6A_001_001_002
SWFL_00001F6E_000_056_000
SWFL_00002290_000_056_000

however only changing timeCriteria to 0319 (which I did for my test previously) - resulted in the below:
BTLD_00001F6C_001_001_009
HWEL_00001F6A_001_001_002
SWFL_000067EC_000_064_001
SWFL_0000695C_000_064_001

interesting though, why not later version of the SWFL_000067EC_068_000 was not "proposed" by the SVT calculation. Anyway, good to know that SWFL have veried between 1117 and 0319 timeCriteria (although the HW and BTLD was the same).

I revive an old and interesting thread.
I read all the thread posts without finding the benefit of this soft retrofit. Is there a list what we will win ?
I did it by coding only: VDC, DSC, EPS and GHAS and flashing EGS4 (everything with GTS FA).
Do I need to flash all ? DME not flashed, no benefit ? because it's already in Stage1

No need to flash anything beside EGS although it depends on current step

Does anybody have a clue why I don't get any changes shwon for GHAS when calculating SVT_soll? Typekey, Timecriteria are right chosen. I have I-Step shipment of my vehicle chosen F020-15-07-506 and Target F020-16-11-503. I also tried connection via gateway with the ip adress of the vin. Unfortunatley same result. Any ideas?

Because there are no changes between 15-07 and 16-11 in GHAS.

In order not to change FA criterias, i would test and flash em directly with editing SVT and TAL. I know this could be very dangerous and i have a basic question. I assume that both SWFLs in ESG4 must have the exactly same version. For example:

only fits to
Swfl_000067e0.xml.000_066_003

and not to

Swfl_0000673e.xml.000_068_003

You can calculate and create SVT and TAL without actually proceeding to flash car.

Select Connection via Gateway URL and then click connect. It will error, but then allow you to proceed with calculation.

So, i think maybe the best (and only) possibility from latest psdzdata for a 2020 M4 Comp to upgrade to GTS/CS enhancement for an EU-model is:

- Complete i-step upgrade to 22-03-552

- Flashing EGS4 to
Swfl_000067ec.xml.000_064_001
Swfl_0000695b.xml.000_064_001

- Coding GHAS, EPS and DSC to "F082GTS"
- Coding VDC1 (EDC) to "F85_Comp"


Note, that this could be done without changing FA (VO) and VO-coding.
I used only FDL-coding to be sure, that all changes i did also occur in all ECUs!

But don´t expect too much. The car is still the same
In my view charging 150 - 200 bucks for that is a cheek.

Besides "Patch" should work for every M4 which shows:

SWFL_000067EO_000_066_003
SWFL_000067EC_000_066_003

in SVT_ist and ECU EGS4.

Don't put misinformations please.
There is a noticeable difference with changed gearbox swfl and other codings.
