Do I need a jack stand in addition to the floor jack for swapping wheels?

For the OP's solution, a single floor jack and wedging a tire/wheel under the middle of the car is safe, fast, and easy.

Thanks. I just swapped my wheels yesterday. Used the floor jack with a spare tire/wheel wedged under the middle of car.
