Bootmod3 - BM3 Wireless OBDII/WiFi/ENET/CANBUS Flash Adapter

Introducing the latest and greatest Wireless connection method for your BMW F and G series vehicles and the 2020+ Toyota Supra, the all new bootmod3 Wireless Adapter. The Bbootmod3 WiFi adapter is fully designed in-house by BM3 engineers, built with the highest quality parts and a modern chipset. It achieves perfect reliability and is the quickest adapter currently offered on the market.

You can see a quick glimpse of the adapter in the video below @ 2:44:

Features
  • Fastest flash times over ENET and CANBUS
  • Reliable and consistent connectivity
  • Wireless ENET support for BMW F and G-Series vehicles and 2020+ Toyota Supra
  • Wireless CANBUS Support
  • Unlike generic WiFi adapters, our adapter allows full flashing of transmission on GEN2 BMW and 2020+ Toyota Supra removing need for additional WiFi adapters or DCAN cables
  • No alarm triggering if left plugged in (BMW G-Series vehicles and Toyota Supra)
  • Enters ultra low power mode if left plugged in consuming just ~20mA
  • OTA updates through the new BM3 App
  • Firmware fully extensible for additional flash and diagnostic protocols for future connectivity support
  • Manual Toggle switch to fully power down adapter
  • Small form factor, considerably smaller than generic WiFi ENET adapters
  • No VIN locking, can be used on multiple vehicles

A big advantage is an all-in-one device for not only BM3, but also compatible with other 3rd party apps like xHP, Bimmercode and Bimmerlink.

Applications supported
Vehicles Supported
BMW F-Chassis Models, including M
BMW G-Chassis Models, including M

Got a stocking order already on the way from PTF, looking forward to trying this out on BM3 and other platforms in a few days.

Is that list of features all specific to V3 as compared to V2A? Or is the only difference between the two the alarm trigger?

Thx

Pretty much. Alarm trigger can be coded out in esys if needed, but the v3 isn't much more expensive.

BM3 released a video to the WiFi adapter to explain the features in detail at 5:00 in the linked video:

Do i understand it correctly?

- V3 Version ONLY - NO ALARMS if left plugged in (BMW G series vehicles and Toyota Supra)
Enters ultra low power mode if left plugged in consuming just ~20mA

- V2A version of the adapter will trigger alarm on G series vehicles and 2020+ Toyota Supra. It is a lower cost option for those that don't mind unplugging their adapter after use

- Manual Toggle switch to fully power down adapter

===========

so the only difference between V2a and V3 is that V3 go into sleep mode once left and dont trigger alarm in G series if left in the car plugged in.

however, both V2a and V3 has toggle switch to kill it off and leave in the car plugged in?

so for F80 owner there is no reason to purchase V3, am i correct?

Can't say on V2 we're only offering V3 in-house. The difference in cost is minimal.

Sorry to sidetrack. Do either of you know if there is a way to have 2 bootmod3 licenses under the same username? I bought a second car and have the activation code ready, just don't see anywhere to activate it without creating a new account.

Thanks,
Chris

Unless things have changed, it's one account/email per VIN.

The password for the BM3_NET network is bootmod3.

Yup, this is incredibly annoying. I can't believe they still haven't corrected it.

WiFi adapter work’s excellent! Only problem I see is the on/off switch is on the wrong side of the adapter once plugged in. I have the V3, so I shouldn’t need to turn it off. It would still be nice though for peace of mind to have the switch facing out.

They did. They added multi login. if you go into the menu in the top right and just log into any other account. That way you can add 20 cars of whatever and never need to log in again. App actually switches between them for you automatically too so its really nice.
