Too bad they changed the needle design also in the M3/M4 to cross the center-point. I liked it a lot in the E60 and E9x where the needles are a little shorter.

Otherwise looks good.

It would look better when the car is on. I think when the ignition is on there is an inner light circle of color like on the regular 3/4 series. Plus colored gradation lines on the outside. I wonder if there's going to be a HUD option with a black panel display.

The seats look nice and supportive, but most importantly, they look comfortable.

Audi and Mercedes (specifically AMG) have consistently created more aesthetically pleasing seats imo. That doesn't mean they offer superior lateral support or long-term comfort though.

CLA AMG's:

C63 AMG's: (they hug so well)

SLS's:

It's a photoshop. The one on the right is real, the one on the left is copied from it to obscure whatever was on the seat.

I like all of the seats in the quoted post (http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=29) better than what is shown in these spy shots. These spy shot seats are too mild for me. I think these would fit better in a 435i with a sport package.

I'd prefer bigger bolsters and possibly passthroughs for a harness.

It would have been nice to add a boost gauge.

Agreed.

Audi and Mercs have historically offered better looking and sportier seats.

Just like BMW Perf seats for current M3.

chuck

PS How do we know its non US spec car?? Check tachometer
I think you mean speedometer... Tach's don't vary by region.

Speaking of the tach, anybody else catch the "off" and "Ready" lettering on the tach?

I like the seats but they need to delete that chrome ///M badge. Hopefully there will be more exciting contrasting trim colors/options.

I'm also excited to see 2 programmable ///M buttons on the steering wheel but disappointed in only having 3 Drivelogic settings: probably comfort, sport, and track/sport+.

My lats are too big for the C63/SLS seats... I feel too snug...

But you can see the dude's hand holding the camera up to the window... I am sure they tried to photoshop the reflection out as best as possible

I am not really feeling the gauges... so hopefully BMW put all the F8x money into engine, chassis, handling/steering development... So the reviews were saying the F3x was more luxury than sport so hopefully with the F8x it will be more of a driver's car and we won't eventually care about the look of the interior

I wouldn't judge the look of the gauges with the car off.

^ True depending on what the M-HUD looks like

From an analog perspective, I wish there was more detail paid to the gauges, nonetheless there will the needed output at the bottom of the display

Seat looks great! Similar to C63 styles with that headrest

And is it me or in that picture of the wheels on autohome the calipers look really tiny?
I was saying the same thing to myself, about the seats.

Also, there are no paddles in that pic, versus the other full on shot. You don't see them behind the wheel, nor in front of the control stalks.

Just have to open the cluster and paint out the extension.
