Hi South,

Our goal is to be at Welt at earliest possible date if not Day one when Deliveries start for US along with many activities during our visit. I am limited in what I can share at this time in terms of specifics for a few more weeks but I am in communication with BMW NA to further develop plans and see what is possible for our group. Will certainly extend a personal invitation to join us when we are out there. Would be great to meet up.

I am definitely doing ED this summer, not sure if it will be an M3 yet... ai was thinking about a B7 or an M6GC. Can I join if I don't get an M3 ?

How many are in this group currently? I ask because the Welt can handle a huge amount of deliveries per day, so you may not need to cut the group off at a small or even medium sized number.

Another question: When do we start making monthly payments when purchasing through ED? When the car gets back to the US after the 8 weeks of shipping? Or when we pick up at the Welt?

I currently capped the primary list at 20 with alternates. If I can get more into the group once I have more firm confirmation on logistics by all means I will do that.

Your first payment will be due at the point you complete final paperwork just before you leave on trip and will be due each month while you are at ED and until car is returned to you in US. Do consider this into your price negotiation. I have heard of some folks that lease getting a waiver from BMW NA for the second payment and that would be more than fair considering you are not getting use of the car during shipping. Just the price you pay for experience but at least ED discount does help with this.

Good to know, I will definitely make a push to get a month waived off specially if it's gonna take 2 months for me to see the car again. Thanks for the info.

I have the first spot at a dealer in Dallas, been on the list since November of 2012. I'm starting to get extremely tempted by the ED opportunity though.. Has anyone looked at the numbers, I know there is the 7% discount, but is it a wash after all the travel expenses? Would love your input.

Seems simple to me. You get an incredible vacation and driving experience for the same price you would have paid at US MSRP. Considering discount is about $4500k unless you are there for a long time or must have first class accommodations you should easily be under this number for trip. An avg week with ticket will run you no more than 2500k if you plan right. Maybe consider being an alternate on this group as we will certainly be planning to be in this range.
