Aside from a few exceptions, I use Poorboy's for most of my basic cleaning products. I've always liked Poorboy's Super Slick and Suds. Very slick!

Carpro reset or gyeon bathe for your scenario. Both are formulated for ceramic coating applications. Top off with carpro reload.
Carpro Hydrofoam is also formulated for use with a foam cannon. I've used reset with a foam cannon and I think it foams even better than snowfoam honeydew. However I try to avoid using reset in a cannon since I think it's wasting for such an expensive shampoo. |

Cleaning Methods
I too have wondered "What is the point?" and how does a foam cannon clean vs. say pre-rinsing and then doing the ole sponge and soapy water with a follow up rinse. Seems like a lot of chemical/soap on the ground. I imagine the response will be that the permeation of foam loosens debris attached to the paint, which I can see, but so does water with just the right pressure.

Otherwise, i foam the car and use that time to get in all the tight areas with a detail brush, rinse, foam again, and follow with the 2 bucket method wash right after. My thought process is more suds for the mitt to glide over equals less scratches. |

+1. Depending on which set is on the car, I use this or the Microfiber Madness Incredibrush Flat. |

Used to be big on Meguiar's Gold Class. Switched to Sonax Shampoo about 2 years ago. Better suds than the Gold Class.
Usually finish off with Nanolex SiSplash if I'm in a rush, or Griots 3-1 Ceramic Wax if I'm in less of a rush.

As for use with a Foam Cannon - all soaps perform the same IMHO... its all about how you dilute the mixture. |

I have gyeon syncro on the car and I use autobrite magifoam for the cannon and Gyeon bathe+ for washing.
But when my car is dirty and i don't have time to wash it, i just use the magifoam and pressure wash the car. Cleans the car for 95% including all the bug splash on the front. |
