Looking into Coilovers on 18x11 wheels (r)
Hi guys,
new here, first post. Looking to run 295/35/18 or 305/35/18 (18x11.0 ET 37) Volk TE37 Saga. Front should be fine with 275 or 265/35/18 up front (18x9.5 ET 22). I'm also looking at getting coilovers to optimize driving performance for track and street but have recently encountered some threads talking about clearance issues with certain coil kits. I do not want to run spacers if I don't have to. Anyone have have experience or clearance issues with 18x11 et ~37 running a 305/35 R888R or similar tire? What coils can clear such a setup w/o spaces? I'm budgeting 4.5k for the hardware. Thanks! |

I don't have exactly the setup you're interested in but pretty close. This is a 18x11 +34 in the rear with a 295/35r/18 continental ECS. I have plenty of room in the rear and will probably be going to a 305/35r/18 in the future. And I've seen multiple people run 305/35r/18 on an 18x11 here on the forums. Although the R888R's would run wider compared to the conti ECS, I think you would still be fine. Lowered on KW HAS kit

Rear is not the issue, it's the front. Normally you can use 7" long spring instead of 8" that is common, like Öhlins for example. That will help a little with clearance but all coilover setups are different.
