Sounding like you have water ingress in the trunk left hand side where the amplifier is installed where it can pool. Sprited drive could cause water to slosh around and enter the amplifier.

I’d check that area out pronto before permanent damage is done. Envoles removing left had side trunk liner and plastic cover above amplifier. There is a bung that sits below amplifier and the bracket is easily enough to remove by undoing one 10mm bolt.
