Help coding LED headlights?

I noticed the headlights on my 2018 M3 don't have the top LED bar enabled, ever. The car was tuned by the previous owner, but I do not know what exactly was done and I do not have his contact information (the dealership I bought from was not aware the car was modified). I am trying to track him down to figure out what he had done to the car, but in the case I cannot get ahold of him, I want to be proactive about getting some mods done myself.

I have searched through the forum and coding apps like Bimmercode, but haven't seen anything mentioned about the top LED bar in the headlights that sits above the angel eyes. Without flashing the car back to stock, is there a way for me to re-enable these with custom coding?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The reason why you can't activate them is because you have the Xenon headlight. These are not the LED headlights.

These are the base lights from 2018+ they would otherwise be equivalent to the Xenons, however, BMW made the base lights also LED for LCI2. So these are LED lights, but not the adaptive LEDs

If you look up into realoem it shows only 2 types of headlights available for LCI F80s. And that's adaptive led headlights and xenon headlights. So, xenon headlights are available on lci cars.

That is correct, but you are showing the led adaptive lights.

Yes my personal headlights are Xenons as I have a MY2016, however, OP's are MY2018 and are LED. MY2018 M3 & M4s have LED as the base headlights from when their production started in March 2017 onward (it even says so in your link when you click thru to the correct headlight category). What I linked was the part number/assembly for both M3/M4 in MY2018. I specifically know this because I wanted to replace my base 2016 lights with base 2018 lights for aesthetic reasons, however, BMW switched the base lights to LEDs which makes them not plug and play and would cost a similar amount to retrofit as the full adaptive LEDs as they require different modules & coding to the Xenons.

OP you have LED base headlights, not Xenons. To try to make this post helpful to you, you can probably contact one of a few coders on this forum. I have no experience with them but guys like Kubax or Marius might be able to help you.

I wasn't aware of that. I thought that all of the non adaptive led lights are xenons. Thank you for your information. And i was believing that all of MY2018 have led adaptive lights

Now it has been settled and understood that the OP has the base LCI LED headlights, back to his original question :

OP, try activating your turn signal or 4-way flasher and see what it does. If I am not mistaken, on the LCI LED headlights, the vocation of that top "eyebrow" was changed to be an amber turn signal and is therefore not intended to be permanently on.
