Window auto up function not working

I just noticed the driver window (coupe) doesn’t auto roll up fully on the second resistance switch. Both resistance points act the same and just roll up as the switch is held. The passenger window works as normal. Ideas?

Silly question but is door ajar when attempting? The second switching position will not auto roll window if the door is ajar. If not, something is wrong.

Please see if you can hold the switch for a few seconds and see if it will reset the switch.

Should be holding the switches up for 30 seconds to reinitialize.

Ahhh. Yes I checked and noticed that it’s only when the window is open that it won’t go up automatically. Ok so I must have the door shut for it to work. Interesting.

Or you could code your vehicle to continue rolling up the windows even if the doors are opened.

Yeah. It's a safety feature. The pinch sensor is in the door surround rubber since it's a frameless window.

Yeah makes sense. I’m used to getting out with an open window and trying to roll it up full before closing the door....manual mode it is.

Gonna revive this one. Had my FEM coded for LCI2 headlights, now windows will not auto up. I have tried most of the methods for re-initializing that have worked over the years, but so far nothing has taken. Going to Try Tom's 30 second strategy.

Make sure ignition is ON (2 presses of start button/no brake pedal - instrument cluster lit)

I have just been dealing with holding the switch up to roll windows up. I likely need Marius to update my FEM, or something along those lines.
At this point none of the procedures will work.
What is your issue?

I was working on my car to retrofit Comfort Access and now for some reason my window (rear) will not roll up or down continuously. Each press of the button makes it increment/step down or up.

I’ve tried pressing down and up for 5,20,30 seconds when those full stop positions are reached to recalibrate or reset the window but no luck.

I’m trying to download ISTA+ to see if I can use it to reinitialize.

Fixed my issue. Had to disconnect my Bimmertech Comfort Access mod and put my FEM back to way it was (wiring connectors) and ran the full initialization process in ISTA+

First time using ISTA so it took me a few tries but it worked.

Put my CA retrofit back together and all is good in the world 👍
