You think they’ll hit that low? Especially considering production had ceased on them.
Still sitting on lots, check San Antonio. Over 20 on swap a lease.

No one mentioned this but one other thing to consider is whether your buying cash or financing. No lender will let you borrow for a restored salvage car, you have to buy cash.

Exactly. The only way to get a loan would be a personal loan. I had a salvage car and the guy I sold it to had to pay cash Bc the bank wouldn’t give him an auto loan. My car was nothing but a headache and I walked to school more than I drove lol . Couldn’t tell from looking at it but as I took it apart, parts of the car was poorly repaired. Would never do it again.

Yup and with personal loans, interest rates are higher. If your in the 70K range, forget salvage, no matter what the reason is/was.

Salvage titles are exaggerated. I've been working on cars my entire life so far.
For example: My 440i was damaged in the right front. No metal damage whatsoever. Front bumper and two ancillary plastic bits were cracked. Front headlight had a small crack in the plastic (fully operative, but they add it to the estimate regardless, and a full headlight assembly is $3k). A few scratches alongside the passenger side of the vehicle. They likely "totaled" the vehicle with an estimate of (at-least) $12k. Including parts, work done by myself, and a high quality body shop, the car is mint and it didn't cost me a penny over $4,000 in repairs.

I would be cautious and try to find pictures/history, but you shouldn't be scared away. Xx

They lease so cheap. Then people find out they are not the best DD* and move on. My option of course.

*BMW removed confort features in the name of weight. Which was silly. Cause the weight saved was negligible.

I move on bc of my vehicular ADHD, this fallacy that CSs aren't good DD is so exaggerated. I'm on my 3rd CS, and starting to get the itch again. Just not sure what next

I'm just quoting their availability at a reasonable price, why do a salvage? THAT'S insane. I admire the constant hunt👍

Here's one for $130k clean title. My bet is a salvage one comes up it is priced around $70-80k

No one wants to buy them, especially guys that are buying ferraris

Mine's a daily driver and have zero issues with it. Has just enough comfort IMO. Purely my opinion though.....

Are you going from car to CS to another car to CS again?
