Tire size is relative to the rim. A 305 on a 11" is optimal but a 315 "fits" but is best suited to a 11.5"-12". On a 10" I'd rather run a 285 than a 305 as the sidewall will deflect more which compromises steering response and not ideal wear.

Anyone try the 305/660/18 on the front? Ignoring that they hit the strut (which is dependant on coilover selection) I'm wondering if they rub the liners? I've heard the 660 diameter lasts quite a bit longer as they heat up less.

I’m thinking of running this combo as well - how does the rear sit, is there plenty of clearance and are you lowered and using an 11” rim?
Is the 265/45-18 on a 9.5” rim with ample inner strut clearance? |

Gonna bump this as the slick thread. Running -3.5 camber up front and still wearing out the outside of the tire way faster than the inside.
18x10 et25 Pirelli DH 285/645-18 18x11 et44 Pirelli DH 305/660-18 10 sessions and the left front outside has worn down to the bottom of the tread depth hole. But the rest of the tire still has plenty. I should have rotated right to left after the first day. The right front still looks new. 8DDB58D7-F6F3-4C74-ABEE-F2C70FCADE0E by D S, on Flickr

I have a number of new and used Yokohama slicks if anyone is interested. I believe they would be the ideal size. 280/650/18 front and 300/650/18 rear

Hey all,
I came across a really good deal of slicks for my 18'' wheels (9,5'' and 10,5'') 250/640/18 300/660/18 Would this combination be ok for the balance of the car? Will I have any problems? I mean is the difference of the 250 and the 300 a lot? Currently been tracking the car with 265/285 semislick combo and it works fine! Maybe a bit on the oversteer side. Regards |

Is there an advantage to running a staggered setup with slicks? Why does bmw Motorsport run square setup with GT4 and m2cs racing? Was thinking of getting the 513m from m2cs racing and running square with spacers. Any info is appreciated!

I really like the look of the 513m from the m2cs racing. 10.5 x 18 et 46. Is it worth it to make these work? Is running a large spacer an issue? Would run a 27/65/18 slick. |
