Are your Ti tips starting to blue at all? Planning the same look as you (be flattered) and am hoping with some time and heat they'll blue up a bit. Maybe its just not that kind of Ti, though?

Does anyone know if the CF tips under the carbon are Ti and if they'll blue, too?

Thank you for the compliment .

The tips are double walled, so I doubt they will see high enough temperatures to get blue.

The canister however has gotten a orange/bluish hue.

Do you know how much bigger the Ti tips are than the stock?

The Ti tips have the exactly same outer diameter as stock. They just look bigger because they don't have the rolled lip edge.

The CF tips are bigger because they essentially are the Ti tips with a CF sleeve over them.

Is there any sounds differences between the titans tips and the carbon tips?
I just ordered the MPE with carbon tips, I have two questions,
Is it really louder than the OEM?
Is there any differences in the cabin with windows closed?
I was hesitant for so long and now I did it, I just wanna make sure that the price deserve it because it's really expensive here in France.
Thank you

PS: I already have the Carbon diffuser so I couldn't bear to see my car without the MPE carbon tips

I dont think there is any sound differences between ti and carbon tips. Just for cosmetics. MPE louder than OEM? Oh yeah you will know. When the windows are up and i drive in sport/sport+ it is noticeable, but i prefer to have the windows down and really enjoy it. Even better through tunnels. I went with carbon tips for the similar reason as yours lol

You've only had yours for about one month. Just wait, it keeps on getting better as it breaks-in

With the valves closed, I would say it is similarly loud than stock, but with a much deeper tone. With the valves open, it is definitely louder than stock, it has this deep rumble at low RPM and just screams at high revs .

Yes, you can clearly hear the difference inside the cabin. Much more signature inline-6 growl to the exhaust note.

I don't see how there can be any sound difference between the CF and Ti tips

I guess personally I'm having trouble determining - from the pics people posted - if Ti looks too small with the carbon diffuser relative the larger carbon tips. I like the Ti, and want the Ti and I'm getting the carbon diffuser, but don't want the tips to look too small and also dislike too big - Yours truly, Goldilocks

That's great because my neighbour just bought a Maserati Ghibli and he is showing off so bad because his car is louder than mine... I have to beat him

What about cold start, I have read that the sound is better and louder? it's difficult to make an opinion with the video

IMO, the size is just perfect with the Ti tips

The MPE on the F8X is a full cat back system. It replaces the mid resonator with an H-pipe.

thanks, im getting mixed information. I guess it depends on how you look at it and what folks view as a full or half system.

sort of, if you consider cat back to mean the secondary cats.

true. it does include cutting, because the exhaust is one piece to the downpipes (primary cats).
