Spot on. And it's making me most likely change my order from alpine to mineral white
See above! I agree though. MW shows off that bulbous figure very nicely.

+100

I know this is unheard of on Bimmerpost, but people are jumping to conclusions on the M4 based on one set of photos..which is silly
As far as the M4 is concerned, the rear of the car has always been a point of controversy regardless of the color.

Wow, what a beast! I'm not a huge fan of the F30's design, especially the hood and nose, but the M3's looks amazing with its curves and bulges. Can't wait to get back into one.

Yes! It's what really makes the M3 look better. I can't believe nobody mentioned this. I would not get the LEDs over the xenons!

I was adamant that the M4 looked much better but now I'm honestly converted! The M3 is the pick!

M4 for the win.

Well, I disagree that the sedan looks better. The rear fenders have a less integrated flare (extension is the same, I believe). The coupe's are flow better. The long doors and fewer opening lines of the coupe give it a sleeker look, IMO. And, it's just less of a "family car," which is appealing if you don't have kids. I also note, as a photographer, that the Mineral White pics were taken with a telephoto which foreshortens the car and makes it look more aggressive. That being said, they both look nice and if you need the practicality of 4 doors, the F80 is more successful than the E90 in appearance.

To each their own for sure

I like accentuated fender flares, a la merc black series or dtm cars.

To me flattened flares don't look good, but to each their own

The m3 looks like a far more integrated and well put together design which looks much more different than a 335 than the m4 does compared to a 435. The m3 fenders remind me of the e46 and 1m which make me

Only minor thing is the rear bumper. The trunk and upper part of the rear looks refined and then you get to the bottom part and it just flares/squares out, it just doesn't flow to me, it could just be the angle but everything about the M3 looks better to me than the M4 except for the rear bumper. That aggressive look with the fenders, OMG!

Again, repeat after me: "Lines & proportions are not the same."
Lines are affected by lighting & color but if you want to keep telling the world that a car's proportions are affected due to color...

There we go, you said it yourself. I rest my case.
Though i'm quite certain rest is a concept you haven't grasped yet because you can never be wrong.
