2014 M3 Release / Production Start

BMW is going to be doing a buy back of my 2013 335 xDrive M-Sport and have given me the option to order a 2014. I have close to $10K wrapped up into it on M Performance Accessories, which they are going to refund. I'm thinking about either getting another 335 and just getting all the same accessories or just getting an M3 Sedan. I live in the Northeast US, so either way, the car will see some snow.

The 2014 335 goes into Production in 1 month. Any idea when the 2014 M3 will be ready for ordering?

Not sure exactly when you will be able to order an F80 M3. But consider that, whenever that might be, you will not be able to bring one home for nearly a year.

I may not wait, just get a used m3 for now and flip it for a new one when it comes out.

Can you provide any more specifics on a timeline? I, like others, already have a deposit down at my dealership for an M4 and I am eagerly awaiting to finalize the order/purchase and take delivery.

I am hearing that 2013 mid to late summer could be the release but as many have stated there is no set date yet.

I can tell you that we have not received anything official from BMW yet.

I was thinking that it wouldn't be available for delivery to customers till next summer/2014. Does this mean it would be officially revealed this summer with orders going in of course at a later date?

No it looks like the last thing to get unveiled. Before is the FWD 1 Series, the i3, even the 2 Seriesn, not to forget the X4.

I don't know if this suggests an NAIAS reveal or if they have something else in mind. I also don't know if we will get an online reveal prior to that or not, as we saw recently with the 4 Coupe prior to its upcoming auto show premier in September. In any case, it seems less and less likely we'll get a concept preview this generation.

So when will first deliveries actually take place? Hard to say. Any time from March to September 2014 seems possible. Hopefully we'll know something more specific soon. It may be that others already know a more specific date and are just waiting for the word to be able to share...

No M3 @ Frankfurt. But Internet reveal for Christmas. NIAS could be X4 or/and also 2 Series, not sure of that. M3/M4 are both presented at the same time, that is news to me.

Also, remember that when the F80 M3 and F82 M4 are revealed, it'll be a while before we can get them for any meaningfully discounted price...

With all the improvements made to the ZCP M5, I'm definitely going to wait on this one. It will be tough, but I think thats the smart decision.
