also look into bmw recommended winter wheel package and try to be as close as you can. in general you should use narrower tires in winter to improve traction. Many folks also use all season tires like conti but I don't trust them on rwd high tq bimmer when we get 20 deg.

I think I am going to get some all seasons for the 666m's to get through the few months of "Winter" in Philly. If the weather is every even slightly bad I take my truck anyway, just want to make sure I am covered if something weird happens and I get caught in some weather. That will give me some time to figure out what Apex setup I want to do for next summer.

I already did one track day with the mismatched tires and it actually wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Even one of the instructors who did a few laps in my car said he could feel the front pushing a bit, but not as bad as he would have expected.

19x10.5 +22 in the rear with a 275/35/19. Probably gonna try out a 285/30 next time, but this fits and does not rub.

does not rub driving around town or on track? think it's important to make that distinction. agree apex fitment guide errs on the conservative side (for good reason).

Many of the setups we don't recommend like the 19x10.5 ET22 wheels in the rear can work with stretched tires or a modified alignment, but we tend to be conservative on the guides especially. The 19x11 ET44 lets you easily run a much wider tire and is our default recommendation to run wider 305 section tires.

Anyone running 18x10 +25 square with KW HAS? I saw folks rubbing it with KW V3 coilovers and read that the KW HAS has given folks an issue up front even with a 5mm spacer. Just seeing if anyone was successful and what spacer was required. Thanks!

Hi there,

Generally speaking, the KW HAS kit has inherently worse clearance compared to the KW V3 full coilover kit. However, it is difficult to quantify, as clearance can depend on where you have the height adjustment collar set on either suspension setup.

That said, KW V3s can typically clear the 18x10" ET25 when using 5mm spacers. Though, KW HAS can still have clearance issues even with the 5mm spacer. In most cases, we recommend running the 18x9.5" ET22 with KW HAS to ensure no inner clearance issues occur.

I got front ARC-8’s 19x10 ET25 wrapped on 275/35/19, MPerformance HAS kit (same as KW) and the 5mm spacers don’t work, they don’t clear the suspension.

I went up to 10mm, no suspension rubbing, just a slight rubbing because of ride height, but now I’m trying 8mm to see how it works, still no rubbing against the suspension but I still need to evaluate the height related rubbing, I really don't want to get the car higher lol.

Black Friday sale was awesome. Ended up ordering EC-7’s in Race Silver with 18x9.5+22 for front and 18x11+44 for rear. Also ordered 5mm spacers in silver and 33mm extended bolts in black just in case rubs (shouldn’t) or if I want it to be more flush. Should be delivered tomorrow. Tires are on order and I went with 265/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear Nitto NT05’s which should arrive sometime next week. Can’t wait to get mounted/balanced and put on. I’ll definitely post up pics after.

Can anyone on EMD springs recommend a 265/35/19 or 275/30 front to go with 305/30 Rear?

I like even wheel gap and worried the 275/30 will drop my lip onto the ground but worried the 265 might rub.

285/30 seems like a good middle ground OD, but a bit wide for a 9.5”

255/35 seems like the safe choice but then I don’t like it when there is some stretch in front without it in the rear, I’d probably do a 275/35 rear instead to keep the look even

I’m mostly about aesthetics, not a race car driver

Got my new set put on today. Love it!!! Ended up having to use the 5mm spacer and extended bolts even with 18x9.5+22. Tire was rubbing slightly on the spring perch. Ordered another set of 5mm spacers and extended bolts because the rears could be more flush. Maybe if I went with 305/35/18 it would have looked better.

It also leveled out the EMD springs (w/ spring spacer) with 305/30 out back, stock 255/40/18 275/40/18 had a lot of rake

I’ll get better pics once it’s warm enough to clean this thing up

Do you think 275/35/19 will fit the front with +20 offset without rubbing with swift springs?
