Been hearing good things about EMD springs.I live in NYC and the roads here suck ! Our roads are not like California so I would understand why people don't complain about the feel of their car. I've heard about some springs shortening the life of their shocks/struts and end up riding like shit after a while and regret them. Anyone have a long term review on EMD springs ? Don't want to go coilovers because I want to keep my adaptive suspension feature. I got F80 competition if anybody can chime in and help me out please...Tired of the huge wheel gap

I would recommend them, although I've only been running them for ~6 months. I was skeptical when people said they will ride like OEM but just a hair stiffer, but it's 100% accurate. EMD shares the spring rates to back it up, it's subtle unlike Swifts, H&R SS, etc.

Now will they technically 'prematurely wear your struts' compared to OEM springs? Sure, everything in life is a compromise. Struts are a wear item and go bad after time, and since the EMD rates are only slightly stiffer then stock I would guess they will wear just BARELY faster than keeping stock springs, which to me is a great compromise.

TL;DR: if you're OK with potentially replacing your EDC struts at say 65k miles vs. 75k then do it, if not, don't.

They're soft and they're low. Probably not a long-term proposition. Especially with expensive dampers like we have.

If you want low but don't want to buy $$$$ coilovers, H&R is low but not silly soft.
If you don't need the car slammed and want good ride quality, Eibach V2 is great.
