You better work the cup holder with a heat gun to reshape it instead of cutting it

It works and nothing will get lost in a hole

Sadly this is not off the car yet. The shop has been too busy with other cars

Just a plug for the CAE shifter...Ive had one on my VW R32 for 2 years prob the the best mod I've made... delivers precise tactile shifts that are very short...the extended lengths of the shifter makes for easily natural motion shifting. If I had a manual M4 Id definitely put one in it.
