Rear Subframe Bushings Recall 9/14 build f80
My build date 9/14 F80 was taken in for a service today (I think I have a warped brake rotor + I requested a high speed tire balance on my winters which I'm paying for out of pocket). Turns out there is a current recall on the rear subframe bushings.
I'll post more info later on tonight once I pick up my car and see the bulletin.

I just got the service bulletin in the mirror about the recall - its attached.
Car is back, and wow what a difference the high speed balance on my winter wheels/tires made! Aside from the road noise at speed, they are now officially grippier AND more comfortable then the PSS by a long shot . There was a slight wobble at 75+ in the wheel which is totally gone. I also got my 2 front rotors and pads covered under warranty for being warped. Win-win-win all around.

Brian you mentioned your build date was 09/15. that would make your car a 2016 not 2015 - My car was built in 08/15, and it's a 16' model car, can you confirm?

You should edit your thread title to read "Subframe Bolts" not Subframe Bushings".

I have the same build date as OP (9/14), but haven't received any recall notice and when I put my VIN into bmwusa.com it says there are no open recalls.
Is there a known reason why some cars are recalled and others aren't? Are the doing the recall in batches or something? I was also just in for service around a month ago...

This is for cars that had the rear diff recall done but they reused the subframe bolts when they shouldve replaced them. Its logged in their system and if you have a car that didnt get the fix, the recall would still be active. BMW would be sending you letters to get it done and you can also check for recalls on the NHTSA website... The NHTSA site can tell you what recalls are open for your car. It use to tell you what recalls were completed on your car but they stopped showing that. |

I am having stability issues on my 2016 m4 with 50k on it and was hoping to find this to be the issue. when i put in my vin it shows nothing at all... which is incorrect so i don't trust it. my issue feels like when my subframe bushings went out on my E46 m3. car is just wiggly and rear end moves around at speed?
