I don't particularely like the front end of the M4 but wow, the Lexus is on a completly other level of ugliness!! The rest of the cars looks pretty good!

I do have to agree with the ugly front on the Lexus. I personally think it is the light that causes many of these effects. In person, both cars will look awesome, at least I think so.

Ill take those seats (mainly the fact that it is easy to install 4-point Harness).
Since the new M3/4 can NOT easily have a harness installed for track use since the headrest is integrated into the seat..

I like it, the massive spindle grill is a little over the top on the regular series IS but on the "tuned" version it's pretty cool

Hopefully if the steering and handling are good, it should be a good competitor with BMW. Great time to be searching for a car in this class. Looking forward to the new C63, ATS-V, and RS4.
I don't think RS4 is coming. I think the RS5 is Audi's entry in this segment. (For the US at least.)

There is only one think about the Lexus that i love over the M3, and that is the NA V8.
It is not about power, or torque, but the big thing for me is the exhaust note. The advantages of turbos, as it relates to torque and fuel economy are well documented, but I really really love the sound of a naturally aspirated V8! Intoxicating!

Both choices have their pros and cons. The M4 isn't doing enough with its plain look while the RCF is doing too much with its entire look. I hate the new M4 turbo setup but love the RCFs NA V8 engine. I'll stick with the only logical choice an E92 M3, no matter how old or outdated some have already rendered it to be.

PS- ISF exhaust fail with 2 out of the 4 tips being functional, will the RCF carry on the tradition?

Great info - thank you for posting that.

I agree with you, the car sounds fantastic from a technical perspective. Doesn't rev as high as I would have hoped, but how can you argue with 480hp? Can't wait to see what the other three entries in this segment have cooked up to bring to the table.

The cylinder heads and all moving parts are completely new. Friction reductions allow the engine to rev 500 rpm faster than the IS F's, to 7300 rpm.

Lexus looks like a Subaru with a crappy body kit that is overcompensating. Really they should have left the bumpers in primer grey. The interior is horrible and cheap looking. That center console looks like it was lifted from a camery. The quad exhaust came from a movie set in the future and those seats look like infant car seats. Really I need the wings sticking out by my ears? Two different cars marketed to two different people.
