17MY, Auto Unlock All Doors When Ignition Off?

I can't seem to find a setting in iDrive 5.0 to set the doors to auto unlock when the vehicle is placed in park or the ignition turned off. Very annoying to have to unlock the doors to get the kids out. Anyone know if there is a setting or it needs to be coded?

Yup this needed to be coded. I coded all of my cars to do this, otherwise it's so annoying when there's no comfort access in the rear doors.

+1 first thing I ever coded. One of those things that slowly eats away at your soul.

Just coded this finally yesterday myself. Of all the things I coded, this is by far the one that makes me the happiest (that and removing the iDrive disclaimer).

It doesn't work that great (or at all) even with comfort access. I get out of my car and try to grab a bag off the back seat and the door is locked. And since some idiot at BMW can't put the door lock button on the door... I have to get back in the car to hit the central locking button. Stupid. This should be an option without the need to code it in.

I agree. What idiot decided not to put this option into iDrive?

Hence just learn coding and code this feature in!

E-sys is quite commonly used here. Go to the DIY/coding subforum. There are lots of useful info there.

Happy coding.
