I absolutely love my w204 sport. My amg gloss black grill arrives today, should look great on it since the car is black. The c63 w204 is where it's at, but for now enjoying what I have.

I don't understand...maybe if you're a ride and die E46 type of person, but the E90's steering was very communicative compared to all the other vehicles in this Carwow drag race. You could argue the steering was heavier than it needed to be and the car was yes heavy, but on the topic of road feel and driving engagement the E90 is well known to be the last 3-series that offered that classic BMW driving feel.

I think the other poster's point is accurate with BMW at least. Historically speaking BMW was more about handling, steering, etc. Their Inline 6 engines were (and still are) renowned for their smooth power delivery, but BMWs weren't necessarily the fastest cars. Mercs were always the brutes with their V8 AMGs.

However these are old stereotypes that aren't true now.

Getting to top speed m3 may be faster, I doubt anyone actually ran these cars 0-155, at least I haven't seen it.

Short distances 335 is quicker. Rolling eyes or not.

With f30/f80 there was never even a mention of that...because it wasn't even a drivers race. But with e90's it was. Which means that they were too close.

My personal experience, I beat m3's. I seen videos otherwise which weren't false either.

Let me say this again, I love e90/92 m3, I'm not hating on it. I'm stating reality.
1.Let us clear some things up. You keep contradicting yourself. You've gone from the 335i is faster than an M3 and the M3 isn't fast to the M3 is faster to top speed to they're both limited to 155 and the M3 is faster to that limit. Please make up your mind. Just because you beat M3's doesn't make it fact that he 335i is faster.

2. The 335i is NOT faster than an M3. Not in any situation. The ONLY way an e9x 335i wins is if the M3 is in the wrong gear or not in the power band. It's as simple as that or if the 335i is tuned.

3. Just because once instance of the 335i winning against an M3 has come about doesn't make it a 'reality'.

Lets add some numbers and keep it apples to apples.

M3:

335i RWD:

Anecdotal evidence only brother, but I had an n54 335i 6AT. It was tuned on meth injection, downpipes, and suspension upgrades coils, wider wheels/tires and a wavetrack LSD. Made 400/450 to the wheels on a dyno. Put up almost EXACT straight line accel numbers as a stock e92 M3 DCT even though the 335 FELT much faster due to the insane amount of torque. A stock 335? Lolllllllllll

Steering was too light. Something that was noted when the car was tested.

I'd kill to have Hydraulic steering back.

Besides the RC and W205 I have had the other 3 cars and the W204 is the one that had the most impact on me. Will probably get another one (hopefully a nice 507) at end of summer.

W204 C63

I jumped the BMW boat (was dead set on an e90M3). After driving the C63 with the big 6.2. The M156 Motor sold me, not being brand bias I bought the C63 simply because it was a clear engineering
Marvel. Plus they were 10-15% more cost effective compared to an M.

Owning the C63 now for 10 years (wow time flies). I can't get rid of it. Just offers so much, linear power delivery / immense torque and good build quality.

Now it's full Renntech Bolt on and it drives / sounds and moves like a beast.

PS: the owner of the w204 C63 stated it's not tuned.

What a gorgeous car, and the styling really hasn't aged since you got it. Way to keep your ride mint!

2022 BMW M3  [10.00]
I had an E92 M3 for 10 years. I now have an F30 335i as a daily, and it isn't an apples to apples comparison, but how can this "335 is faster than M3" thing still be going on?

My 35 has a tune on it so it's no slouch, and to about say, 30 mph it's at least as fast as the E92, but that's it. There's nothing a 335 does as well as an M3, especially give you confidence as the speeds rise.

I love them both for what they are but it's like a college athlete Vs a pro. The extra muscle handling ability is noticeable.

While I loved my E9x M3's, ehh on my F80, I am absolutely in love with my W204 P31.

In your dreams.

Stock for stock, an E9X 335 couldn't touch an E9X M3.
No need to get aggressive

I have personal experience, unfortunately e90/92 m3's are as fast compared to regular models are other generations. Having said that, it's one of my favorite M cars.
Didn't you watch the video?
