Was the competition badge ever put on the M3 that is available via IND?

I know my 2018 F80 ZCP didnt come with it.

Yeah I dont get why people give shit for it. If the car is a Competition why not say so.

I'm assuming it's "purists" or the non-competition M3/4 owners who make a big deal of it. There's no such thing as an F80 Competition Package, there's only an F80 with a competition package option, so to them you're claiming to drive something that doesn't actually exist, or insecure and have to let everyone know you have a package option on your car that they don't...and boy does it bother them.

I got 666m wheels on my M3. My car is a 2015 so there was no competition option at the time..

Did they start adding that Competition badge from the factory at some point? I swear I saw it on the cars at the dealer.

The competition badge has never been on the F80/82/83 from the factory because it has always been a package. The F87 M2 Competition has the badge since it's a model, not a package.

I think it looks completely OEM, the competition badge by IND.

It's your car... if it makes you happy, do it.

I believe IND carries the OEM badge also, I highly recommend getting the OEM ones instead. The aftermarket "competition" badge is longer than the "M3"

Model or package, competition is competition. Increased HP, different wheels, suspension, etc.

BMW decided to add the competition badge in 2019 for the M2, while the F80 was discontinued. It's their way of making it more attractive, their way of marketing.

If owners want to add the G80 "M3 competition" badge onto their F80 M3 comp, why not? Why is this a bigger deal than owners riding on 666 wheels? GTS Hood, CS front lips?

By the way I love the new badges because the M3/M4 lettering is actually SMALLER because of the added competition badge on the bottom.

It's not different/bigger deal, all of these things are forms of up-badging in one way or another.

Personally I don't care what anyone wants to do with their cars, I also don't care if non-Ms put M badges on their cars - y'all pay good money for your rides, you do what you please Just please don't make it look janky

I don't know why you're trying to pick a fight with what I said. What part of what I said wrong? So then what is about the 2019 and 2020 M4 ZCP without competition badges? The bastard stepchild??

I don't care what people do with their cars, I'm just stating facts. They can throw whatever parts they want but it doesn't make it look good to everyone.

Oh nobody is picking a fight lol calm down. You were stating your opinion, I was stating mine like everyone else.

M3 and M4 was due for a new gen. Assuming BMW wanted the new badges on the G8X instead. New gen M2 would be closer to 2023 so they didn't wait. Again, it's BMW's way of marketing. It's amazing how marketing choices affects the way people think dramatically.

It's good that everyone has their own taste and opinion on certain things, that's why we modify our cars the way each like. I just find it funny that a lot of us would say something nasty and then end it with "oh i don't care about what others do to their own cars". Lastly, hope you don't mod your car "so it looks good to everyone".

If you have a problem with someone adding a competition emblem you may need medicine.
