Doesn't matter what color I get
I've come to the conclusion that no matter what color I get, I think I'm going to be very happy with my choice.
I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger, and I have it narrowed down to these 5 choices: AW, MW, BSM, MG, and YMB. AW & MW: Absolutely love the way the CF roof blends with the white color. However, I do think it's sort of a myth that white is better at hiding the dirt and grime when compared to BSM. White can by very high maintenance; especially in the summer when driving at night and smashing into insects. With that said, AW & MW remain a top choice for me. I just really dig how AW and MW go with the CF roof, and the rest of the car in general. BSM & MG: Love them both. Honestly, I can flip a coin, go with one of these, and be extremely happy with my decision. When I asked my friends and family for their opinion, all the women in my life said black or gray. That was a surprise. An exact quote from one of them was, "for this car, go black or gray." I don't disagree with that, and yes, if I get MG or BSM, I'm getting the CF roof. YMB: It's an attention getter; the quintessential color for the M3. It's bold and controversial. I never saw it in real life, and it literally looks like a completely different color in every single solitary picture I have seen on the internet. I'm seriously considering this, and if I get it, I'm sure I'll be extremely happy with my decision. By the way, a lot of my guy friends said go with YMB. I find it interesting that none of the women I asked said YMB, but a handful of the guys did. I probably won't decide until the very last second... |

I went with MW on my order, but some of the BSM cars I've seen look amazing!

These cars look great in every color. No doubt about that.
Your choice will be simpler if you narrow it down to wanting a flashy color, a white, or a dark. Then go from there. White is always incredibly popular these days, I would personally lean towards MG or BSM. Yas is awesome in person, I seriously love it. But I would prefer to be under the radar in the M. |

I live in PA as well and owned both, a carbon black and a white car. Trust me when I tell you that the white was hands down easier to maintain than the black and especially in winters. Between the two I would take white anyday if keeping it clean was the primary concern.
My last car was space gray and that is easily the winner for always looking clean I rarely cleaned that car.

I remember saying I will never ever get another black car again. I also remember all the smashed insects on the front grill of my white car, and saying I will never ever get another white car again. I guess I'm not listening to myself, because there is real good possibility that I'm getting another white or black car again. |

You're not going to go wrong with any... But the conflict is that there's no definitive color that says "Oh hey, I'm perfect for you".
And yes, check out YMB in person... Completely different than in pictures. On a side note: Did the Welt factory tour yesterday and saw a crapload of AW/MW's getting made, clearly rather popular but always classic.

If you haven't seen Yas Marina Blue in person, then I highly advise you to try to find one.
YMB was my favorite color at first while Austin Yellow was my least favorite. But then I saw them both in real life. Yas Marina Blue fell to the bottom of my list while Austin Yellow went straight to the top. The photos don't really do these colors justice... You have to see them in real life. |

Fine, I'll name the car Candy and no one will be wiser. Hell, I probably in a few decades can grow a facial hair as thick as my great aunt had, so I'll blend in well enough!

You've narrowed it down to 5???? Some words of wisdom: -Never ask chicks what ______ to get. They freakin don't know. Ever been shopping with one? -Get the color that makes you the most nervous. The one you think you "can't pull it off". That will be prove to be the most interesting color to live with everyday. Take some risks. -When you drive an M3, people already know you are a little bit unstable. "Out there". They tend to give you a pass if you drive an Orange or Yellow car. -When you narrow it down to 4, maybe I can help more. Tataaaaa! |
