This is irrelevant. Lag is about reaction to throttle input and is not related to the delay of downshifting an automatic transmission.

Turbo lag does exist. It may be very minimal compared to some turbo cars but believe me, when I floor the x5(v8tt) or M3 the vehicle starts moving and then the freight train takes over.
