What are "BMW Performance Filters"? Is this different than stock, or did you mean BMS?

What's the stock dyno numbers?

Can you post a comparison with the BMS JB4 tune?

Thanks

From an EAS post when they used to push JB4. This car was running e20 mix it says. So a bit better fuel. But the ESS flash does not support ethanol mixes AFAIK.

Supposed to read "BMC". Thanks for the heads up, corrected in OP.

No, ESS has a full line up including n55, s63, n63 and n20 for flash tuning. We can flash all in-house or for those that are willing to ship us their DME, we can overnight it back to them.

As long as you are out of warranty and the OBDII flash counter becomes a moot point....

LOL @ comments like " how it should have come from the factory" so tell me.. What's your engine warranty again ?

nice gains... but seriously...they do what they do... and you do what you do...

and since I'm 99% confident you aren't gonna provide an engine warranty.... you shouldn't take shots at the manufacturer you are piggybacking your $$ off..

So I am understanding correctly, this is a full flash and not just a piggy back, correct?

This tune maxes out at 22psi, correct? What if we want to run more boost, say, 25-26psi??

Also are these one-off/tailored tunes or is this an off the shelf tune? Will E85 blend tunes be offered?

Tom,

How was this tune to work out as far as running it properly? I've read nightmare stories on other forums about ESS's attempts towards turbos.

Correct this is a full flash tune. The ECU has full control over the all engines parameter keeping all critical safety parameters in check.

Stage III is in the works for those running the Pure or soon to be released ESS upgraded turbo's. 25-26 PSI is outside the efficiency range of stock turbos which is the bottleneck for making serious power in the S55. E85 is also a possibility.

We've got well over 100 different dynoruns on our shop M4 in various configurations to make sure everything is within spec. A number of flashed M3/M4s are already running around SoCal with good results, some have already posted their experiences in other threads.

We didn't give the greenlight on our end until we were confident we were making consistent power, no glory runs. Power delivery needed to feel smooth on the street as well, which it does.

Yeah, I wasn't worried about you guys just ESS. I know your shop does great work. I was wondering if it worked out of the box for ya or if it needed to be thoroughly massaged in order to work. That's what I've read on about 2 other threads.
