I ordered the Winmax W5 for my M4. New brand for my dealer and they look very promising. Japanese brand that have been big within the rally community if I understand it correctly.

I will keep you updated although I will run the stock tires until they run out.

At the track, after a couple of sessions, major judder set in but the car was slowing very well. Tried sanding the front rotors at the track but still had major judder. I talked to NorthStar MotorSports and Competion MotorSports who did some research on the RSL pads. Apparently the RSL is a ceramic pad where as the old RS29 and the OEM pads are organic based pads. My rotors showed major blotching which explains the judder. I was told that NASCAR teams use a couple of companies that actually bed the RSL pads to individual specific rotors on a machine, then send the packages out to the teams using this service. That is apparently how difficult these pads can be to bed in properly. So good luck with the RSLs and if you do get them to work well, be sure to find a compatible street pad if you're going to swap out for the street.

Thanks for sharing, I just looked into the RSL's for the first time and then purchased some RS-29 pads instead, thank goodness I did. I absolutely hate pad jutter and any pad that might be more prone to bedding/jutter issues!

I'm going to bed the he11 out of these Pagids (by following their very specific instructions on a private road of course).

Another pad to avoid, that I recently had bedding/jutter issues with is the Endless mx72 (it's a hybrid and I should have known better). Pad swaps are the only way and I'll go ahead and recommend PFC '08s again, whenever they or their replacement becomes available.

So just wanting to get an update on the RS29s

Do you use the with the stock rotors?
Fronts only, or front and rear?
Any issues swapping back and forth for street / track days on stock rotors?

I run carbotech XP12/XP10 and am considering a switch to PFCo8's or pagids since they're available now. Im also interested to see if anyone has switched and what they think. Im not in love with the bite of the carbotech's but have nothing to compare them to. Rotor wear is minimal.
