This.

I’ve had this happen for the transmission on my E90. The BMW NA regional techs are motivated to deny the big claims, so even if you have a cozy relationship with your SA it may not help.

If you want to mod, best to assume the worst as far as warranty.

We've discussed cold start a couple times in our Master Thread. ----<---- (click link to jump)

We do not disable any emissions control functions regardless of
what Stage Level of software is being purchased. That being
said the GTS Start Up Roar does offer a reduced idle speed
which reduces the the volume during the cold start cycle.

Is the flash optimized for 91 octane, 93 octane, or are there separate ones for each? I've been using 93 since the price difference where I live is pretty small. Is the flash tweaked when Bmw offers a new ISTEP? Is that an issue?
