Help me pick my 'other' M-Car
I have a F83 DCT - which has done less than 10km, so it's like new and being a convertible, it's now become a weekend car.
I am thinking of getting another M car, coupe in manual for odd weekends... E46, E92 or M2 ? Which would the best to pair with the F83 ? |

X5M if you need space and hauling ability.
E46 M3 if you just need to haul ass through corners.

+1 for the E36 even with the S52 engine. It’s a time capsule . E9X would Also be a great choice..
I don’t think M2 should be in consideration as it wouldn’t be big change from your F83, even if you’re talking about the OG with the N55 engine. IMHO, Your other M should be NA! |

the OP wants a manual coupe so the SUV recos won't work.
Current M car is already somewhat of a daily driver and do-everything car so your second M car should be the one that pulls at your heartstrings from previous generations. For me that would be the E46 (which I own) but I have no problem with those who say E36 or E92. Check out the 1M too as a dark horse candidate. Much more expensive, but if you're considering M2's it might still be in your budget |

What’s the purpose of the other M car? That will help with the recommendation.

Anything with a naturally aspirated engine, you won't regret it.

I chose two F8x’s because I really enjoy the S55 engine.
However, I really did enjoy riding in and driving my son’s E92 M3 in some SoCal canyons last last weekend.

E46 M3. To me, it’s the under appreciated M car! I love mine!
