Indeed. My E92 was my favorite until I bought my Blackwing. Now that sits at the top with the E92 second. I will say the E92 was more fun to throw around sharp turns tho.

Non car related, but just got a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. Even though I was ready for another puppy, you still kind of forget how much work they are!

Got back from my trip
All i can say is that the 'ring is worth the hype! Had a great time. We left St. Louis late Friday afternoon and landed in Frankfurt around 7:30am. Its a 8-9 hour flight. We hung out in the city to get food and coffee and walk around (parking is a bitch here, its understandable why there are so many tiny cars). Then loaded up the volvo xc60 and drove out to Nurburg. Once you get outside the city the rural areas are beautiful. especially when you get close to the ring. You'll pass though many tiny villages surrounded by smooth and twisty roads. The Ring is automotive mecca. All you see is sports cars and tuned hatches. X5M's trailering M2s. Cayennes trailering GT3RSs. Even saw a KTM X-bow. There were tons of bikes in town for Motorrad Anlassen. We slept at an airbnb. At 9am we went to rent4ring to get our bmw 125i. it was track prepped with some semi slick tires, 220hp and 2800 pounds. gutted and caged. short briefing explaining the track layout, how to let other cars by, what we are liable for, etc. I opted not to get any extra insurance because i know my limits and fair amount of experience with the track in sim racing. i knew where i could go quick and where i shouldn't. basic package covers 50% of the car value (12k euro) excluding any damage to the track and other ring services. the next package up cover 75% of the car. it was a bit of a wait to get out. it had been raining and snowing a few days prior apparently so everyone staying there was itching to get out. once out there it was a great time. the car was 'quick enough' to where i could push it and have some fun. similar power/weight as a toyota 86. hearing the very fast stuff like the 992 RS pass by was also fun. You do have to check the rear view often cars will fly up behind you. but people are respectful, you just put the blinker on and hug the right side and let them by. some of my favorite parts of the track were fuchrohre/foxhole with its fast downhill section, compression, and then shooting you upward. And then the Karussell. Youtube corner/Brunnchen is also fun with all the bystanders watching. After 4 laps we exited as we were on a time crunch and needed to get to Cologne for our flight out to Barcelona.
