Since when? I just went for advanced M last month and the Miramonte was the hotel
I was talking to a bimmerpost member booked for January and he said the hotel was now the Paseo. Perhaps the Miramont was full?

I think I was there at the same time as you. Did the Advanced School in early November.

It may be pure luck each time, but I'm learning how to always get a big start-up roar and crackles on the CS during a warm-start situation:

-press the accelerator pedal past kick down after the ignition is "ON" for a second and release

-then just start the car as usual

no need to fiddle with the drive modes as you can just keep it in efficiency, the roar will be louder and will have crackles vs the normal CS start-up roar during a warm start. The same "trick" works on cold starts too.

It sounds almost as if the flaps open momentarily, but then it'll settle back down in the normal efficiency mode exhaust noise after it clears it throat.

I didn't. You leave at 7:30am and you don't get back until after 6 or 7 since there is a dinner at the track. I also went in winter where they couldn't take advantage of the pool. They also aren't much for shopping at the outlet so not much to do for the wife and kids when I went.

Depends on what she'd like to do. If she isn't into cars or taking photos/videos, then she's at the lounge all day. Otherwise, it's possible for her to ride with an instructor over to the event area and take photos and videos for you. That's up to the instructors, she'll have to sign a waiver too, so YMMV.

The voucher states 3 years from retail. I believe the ~$800 voucher that non-CS owners gets is only 1 year, but since this is part of the package you get 3.

Is there a cash value to this certificate or is it transferable? Reason I ask is I don't believe I'm going to end up being able to use it.

I believe that you can give it to someone else, but you can't get any cash directly from BMW if you don't use it.

Which voucher is it? The $849 one or the $1500 one?
