San Marino Blue M4CS - track build

Hello all,

I am coming from the Subaru world haha please don't hate too much. I had an 04 STI that was transformed into a track car, before I bought that car I was looking at the E46 M3's. So the only logical next car was to be a BMW coupe, I was looking between the M4 and M2, but I found a beautiful M4CS.

Goals with the car are to enjoy it on track and some weekend drives. It was something I was missing while owning a strictly track car. I do not plan on going full crazy and caging this car.

Congrats. Fellow M4cs owner here and can confirm that they are phenomenal cars on the street and even more so on track. That is a lot of cooling you have planned/installed. These cars do come with additional cooling reservoirs (above base/comp) and hold up really well on track. However, sounds like you have more serious intent than your average HPDE looking at the Subaru pics. FYI, love the '04 and still look at/price '13 Sti hatchbacks as DD.

The GT more aero is super aggressive for weekend drives. Be careful with that thing.

haha, yeah I will defiantly need to watch out, might end up buying spare bumper and truck as to not modify/damage the original items.

I was able to install the main cooling items, but still need to install the DCT and oil coolers.





next to go on is the exhaust, then tackle the suspension.

I have started the suspension install, currently 1 corner installed pretty straight forward, just taking my time. Alignment and corner balance booked.

Yes, first time using them, now I kick myself for never having them when I was building the subaru lol.

front end is pretty much complete suspension wise. Started on the rear left, this went smoother than the front did.



and I had to test fit the TE's are I saw someone mention their TE's wouldn't work. Luckily mine work with this setup, I do have a 15mm spacer up front, but may come down to 10mm or 7.5mm, I will have to play with it after getting the car back on the ground.




GTMore splitter has arrived, once the suspension is all installed, I will work on the splitter, waiting on the wing to arrive.

suspension is all installed, just need to torque it all to spec.

couldn't help it but start the Splitter install.



I have ordered a few more items like spacers for the rear when using OEM wheels.

The Splitter is 90% installed, just need some fine tuning on the bumper fitment. Not as straight forward as I thought but none the less it is on and after its all mounted, it all made sense and will be easy to take off and on when needed.

New side mounts for the Aux rads


I have not installed the brake ducting yet, I need the other side (knuckle) to connect it all up properly




I can't do much driving at the moment as all the suspension items have been installed and the alignment is completely a mess.

Everything I have so far has been installed and alignment completed. first track evening will be Monday, just a shake down to confirm everything is working as it should.

went out for a car meet with a buddy and his C7 Vette. Both cars are rocking AP brakes front and rear, Tractive R/T coilovers. Once I have downpipes and a proper tune, I should be able to match power.
