Carbon Fiber Lip Spoiler Protection
So I recently installed a CF lip spoiler on my lowered F80 and not even a day passed where I already cracked/chipped the bottom of the lip.
I've heard its inevitable, hearing stories from others that it's only a matter of time until mine will eventually fall off or damage it enough that I have no choice but to take it off. Is there anything out there product wise that I can use to at least lessen the damage on these lips if scraping it is unavoidable?

I'm not lowered, but I wrapped mine in Xpel and it has done a wonderful job of protecting it from sand pitting and the occasional bump/scrape.
If you choose to do this, make sure the film is nice and warm when applying as it will mold and stretch easier to conform to the curves. I did have to make a seam (blue arrow) where mine curves to meet the front center intake, but it is barely noticeable unless you get down close.

I have ppf on my lip as well but it won't save it from the ill effects of impact and scraping. It won't stop a lip from cracking. Ppf will only save it from rock chips and pitting from small particles hitting it at speed.

If you don't slam the thing you can get by. I did recommended drop on MP HAS and my CS lip is ok so far. I'm fairly cautious. Time will tell, and I'm dreading the day I scrape it.

My mouth dropped and was taken aback and asked if she had the modbug too. Lol. Anyway, that's probably the most extreme option at this point. Not looking to spend that type of money.. |

ive run cf lips many times. the trick is to be an alert and attentive driver. if you live in a place where getting in and out of steep entryways, driveways, etc. can't be avoided then maybe steer away or do a PPF
