Years from now GTS probably will be highest dollar collectible if that's what your after because it was the highest performance version and the lowest in total production. |

Nice to see some positives comments on these cars, they were treated pretty harshly by the peanut gallery, as were the 95 BMW M3 LTW, when first introduced, look at them now.

Too late for a deal now. Cheapest one at $89.995 on cars.com. Only two there, the other one at $299,900 (this is a joke, right?).
Just 3 months ago they had over 10 of them and 2 at $70,000. Great deal for whoever bought those... |

In this case, first it comes out at 130k. Cue to all the pathetic 'for that price I'd buy a GT3' comments before any reviews are out. Sooner or later people wake up to the real world, where Car and Driver just tested a lightly optioned 992 '4' with a MSRP of 129k, and actual GT3s sell for 200k new. At 70k they were insane value and I'm not surprised the market has already corrected itself. I doubt it has absolutely anything to do with the G8X M being 'ugly' |

Someone actually paid nearly $300k for #803!?! When I first saw that listing, I thought it had to be a typo.

Probably a very wealthy collector that wanted it for their collection. Pretty amazing that the last one off the assembly line is still in brand new condition.

I first wanted to order the new Touring but, ofc, it's not coming to the US. Then I saw the M3/4 reveal and, while being ugly wasn't a deal breaker, being so much heavier with the same power than the previous car was. So ya, this pushed me to look at the best iteration of the previous generation (i.e. GTS). |

For a variety of reasons, will the number of traditional U.S. M enthusiasts who conclude the same as you exceed GTS supply? Are there just a few more than ~400 of us? Ah, yep. And if the G8X driving characteristics trend more toward mini-M8 and mini-M5 than F8X -- I have my suspicions -- add another chunk to the "new" GTS audience. In related news, Enthusiast Auto looking like visionaries.

It might not have been exactly what they'd wanted when released, but as compared to where M appears to be headed, GTS is looking like a final send off for us old schoolers

Right, when released the value proposition didn't make much sense either. At around 80k now, it makes a lot more sense. And where these M cars are headed (more homogenous, heavier etc.) something special like this stands out for those in the know. I suspect even a lot of car enthusiasts don't have this car top of mind so it's a bit of a hidden gem at the moment.
