How to wash Frozen Grey?

i assumed normal car wash, no wax obv, and i think ive seen a BMW vid to this effect. that being said, is anyone using these "Beasley" products? a friend recommended them for matte cars, but his car is wrapped so not sure how relevant?

I did the Beasley products when I first got my frozen blue...they work well. I have since switched back to Adam’s shampoo for washes and have not noticed any issues. Hope that helps...

Chemical guys have a shampoo for matte paint or wrap. Works well... honestly, frozen/matte colors are easiest to maintain. Just wash it and dry.

I use the BMW matte soap for now. Ordered it while drinking so didn't notice the price which is even more expensive than Beasley.

Works fine but seems many others use cheaper.

I have been told any pH neutral soap WITHOUT WAX is fine.

I don't use any other products like in the kit you posted, my car looks great just with hand wash and dry.

It has XPEL Stealth on front facing stuff but not on the doors.

PS also got the BMW wheel gel and it seems to work fine but god the STENCH!

Full PPF + a two-bucket wash every couple of months when the front of the car is more rubber marks than paint

I would not recommend CG products. There's many great alternatives all along the price chain. More than happy to recommend products if needed that fit the individual's criteria.

Beasleys lineup is great and has been around for quite some time. Their matte product line has never disappointed, but like others have said no need to over complicate the process. PH neutral soap with a two bucket method and you should have a great looking car.

I have been using chemical guys matte wash and detailer the last couple of years, and It works very well for me.
Though like most others said, be consistent with the product of your choice and follow two bucket process while basic car wash do's and don't in mind. And also I wouldn't let any bird stuff, bugs and water spots stay on the car over night. I do have few spots I can no longer get the stain off because I was too lazy to wash.

Eesh, ok. I don't usually wash cars very often so this will be a change for me. I have all the BMW matte wash and spot cleaning stuff so I guess that will be fine for now. Maybe the spot cleaning will be the key here.

I thought this paint was easier to maintain, sounds like you have to be more careful than I thought.

Some bird crap etc can etch even standard clear coat (acidic or whyIDK).

Difference with matte finish is you can't polish or buff.

Bugs seem less of an issue but if left baking on the paint forever can be tougher to get off.

I soak and spray the car 2-3 times before washing with chenille MF mitt and BMW matte shampoo, no problems so far, wash about every month but I don't daily drive.

For hard water spots I find they wipe right off with a clean microfiber cloth duped in dilute vinegar in warm water followed by dry microfiber wipe (wash or rinse car first to remove grit),

For road tar I use "Goo Gone" on clean MF cloth followed by wipe with damp MF.

Enjoy the car and try not to worry overly.

The matte paint coating included in that Dr Beasleys kit will keep bird droppings from etching your paint. As long as your car is well coated, you should be well protected from this type of damage.

Man I had bird shit on my car for 48hrs after I picked my car from the dealership storeroom. Car wasn't protected or coated and still isn't. Not a single spot to this days and I daily drive it and I drive it pretty hard too. Don't overthink it. Oh and it was massive shit too, thought it was from a dragon or something.

I agree with Gomeler, I had a local wrap dealer apply a full clear matte wrap on the car followed by ceramic pro. Now, i will just go to a local pull through power wash station and spray the car down. If there is any residue that is stubborn, i just clean it directly by hand, spot treat.... Honestly, my mind was put easy after the wrap, wallet not so much. but we are talking about a couple years worth of investment. Yes its a lot of money to do whole car wrap, ceramic coat it... but seeing how i drive my car in LA and track it sometimes. The normal paint chipping and rubber/tar marks are not a concern really... granted, at the track, some serious debris cant just go through the wrap. We will see how everything holds up in a few years. Hopefully its all good!

Good choice

I've got that on all front facing things (hood, bumper, quarter panels, a-pillars, and the non - stealth finish gloss XPEL on the splitter, mirror covers, roof and rear wing.

It's a very cool system, the pieces are cut exactly to fit. you have to look very closely to see them at an edge or corner of a given panel.

Previous owner did it, I probably would have done the whole car.

It changes the surface ever so slightly to more of a satin look, but You have really got to look close in the right conditions to see it even when the PPF and uncovered Frozen panels are right next to each other.

The PPF cleans up very easily and I have peace of mind if I mar it up, it's self healing in the sun, and at the worst I can always have it removed and redone.

Excellent, ya was thinking to do all the forward facing surfaces but he said he will probably have his brother just do the whole car. He is a good guy and we give him a lot of business. They wrap all the pro athletes cars in town.

Doing the PPF definitely gave me peace of mind for driving around town. You know eventually you'll get a few chips in the front of the car, it's just a reality of driving. Having the PPF puts those worries to ease.

If you track the car at all, PPF at a minimum the front surfaces, but I'd really recommend the entire vehicle. I figure unlike a civic/comp M4, the GTS' paint condition may matter a bit in a few years when I move on.

My front windshield looks like several kids spent an afternoon throwing rocks at the car. Besides a few scuffs in the PPF that'll self-heal if I ever left it out in the sun, the paint should be immaculate underneath. Most importantly, it just takes 45 minutes with some buckets and soap to bring the car back to looking showroom clean.

Must have been a dragon. Pterodactyl shit definitely etches the paint.
