KW HAS removal

I am going back to stock and looking for direction on how to remove the KW HAS sleeve over/spring perch on the front struts. Do you just pound them off with a dead blow hammer? Can you leave the strut on the car to remove the sleeve or do you have to fully remove it? Thanks in advance.

Struts have to come off the car. This will make the job infinitely easier.
